American actor Allison Brooks Janney was born on November 19 1959. In her nearly more than three decades, Allison Brooks Janney has been recognized for her stage and film appearances. Janney was honored with many awards including The Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. The actress also won seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney was born in Boston and was raised at Dayton (Ohio). She received a scholarship to learn in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art following her graduation from Kenyon College. Janney made her television debut during 1999. She appeared as C. J. Cregg as part of NBC's political program The West Wing from 1999-2006 and was awarded four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest actress in a Drama Series for her performance in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime series Masters of Sex. Janney was nominated at least six times for Primetime Emmy Awards and twice took home the Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
